Online MCA at UPES Online: what the programme actually covers
The Online MCA offered by UPES Online is a 2 years online programme built for learners who need a recognised MCA without leaving their job or moving to Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The degree carries UGC entitlement and AICTE approval, so it holds the same academic value as an on-campus MCA for higher studies, government posts and private-sector hiring. UPES Online is an established institution, operating since 2003, and its online learners study through recorded lectures, live sessions, digital libraries and proctored assessments rather than daily classroom attendance.
Who this MCA suits
Admission generally follows the standard entry route for a MCA , so check your last qualifying marksheet before you apply. It fits three groups in particular: professionals who need the MCA credential for a promotion or a role change, graduates in Dehradun, Uttarakhand and nearby districts who cannot relocate for a full-time seat, and learners returning to study after a career gap who need evening and weekend flexibility. Because the schedule is online, the real commitment is weekly study hours rather than travel, and most students plan around 8–12 focused hours a week across the 2 years .
Fees, instalments and what you actually pay
The published total for the Online MCA is ₹93,500 for the full 2 years , which works out to roughly ₹46,750 per year. UPES Online also supports instalments from about ₹7,083 per month, which is what most working learners use instead of a single upfront payment. Budget separately for examination and convocation charges, which sit outside the tuition figure. One rule applies to every programme listed on Parahi: pay your fee directly to UPES Online through its official channels — never to us or to an intermediary.
Career outcomes after the MCA
Salary outcomes depend heavily on prior experience: freshers usually start in entry-level roles, while professionals use the MCA to move up within their current organisation. An online MCA is most valuable when you pair it with demonstrable work — live projects, certifications and internal responsibilities all count more than the delivery mode. UPES Online supports this through placement assistance, resume and interview preparation, and an alumni network that reaches employers well beyond Dehradun, Uttarakhand. If you are comparing this programme with another university, compare the fee, the specialisation list and the accreditation side by side before you commit.
